Beautiful Window Shutters Wanstead
Wanstead in the East London Borough of Redbridge touches Walthamstow, Leytonstone Redbridge, South Woodford and Forest Gate. It has two Zone 4 Central line Tube stations, Wanstead and Snaresbrook. It boasts open grasslands such as Wanstead Flats, and the 140 acre woodland of Wanstead Park (part of Epping Forest), which includes Chalet Wood, famous for its bluebells. Wanstead Flats is a large area of open grassland where Aldersbrook Farm used to be.
Aldersbrook itself is a well-preserved Edwardian housing estate in Wanstead and is now a conservation area.
Snaresbrook is probably named after Sayers brook that flows through Wanstead and into the River Roding. Some of Epping Forest can be found near Eagle Pond (Snares Pond). Most of Snaresbrook’s Georgian houses were built along the east side of Hollybush Hill and a conservation area stretches along Hollybush Hill and Woodford Road.
